The creative arts are a vital part of life at Talbot House. Music is taught as part of the curriculum and we aim for each child to be reading music by the time they leave us. All children from Year 3 and upwards learn to play the recorder as well as untuned percussion. In addition to music in the classroom, we currently have three visiting teachers offering the following one-to-one lessons: Piano, Flute, Saxophone, Clarinet and Drums.
We have a Singing Club for children in Reception to Year 2 and a Choir for Years 3 and above who regularly perform both in school and in the wider community.
