On Friday, we celebrated the King’s coronation by holding our own. Everyone in the school was invited! Upper School all came as guests who will really be attending on Saturday. They have spent the week learning about the person and or the charity or country that they will be representing. Middle School formed our choir and Lower School were the Pages and Ladies-in- Waiting. Organised by our own Duke of Norfolk and officiated by the Archbishop of Canterbury and Dean of Westminster, we acted out the whole ceremony – there was even the Diamond Jubilee and Gold State Coaches! Huw Edwards was here to commentate and the whole event was enjoyed by the school community. The ceremony was followed by a Coronation Banquet of Fish and Chips and hand-decorated cupcakes!
