This morning we marked Remembrance Day with a minute of silence. The whole school community gathered in the playground. Year 6 recited ‘In Flanders Field’ by John McCrae and Mrs Bentley marked the silence by playing the Last Post. It was very touching to see our children stand so respectfully and remember those to whom we owe so much.

Year 1 led a lovely assembly this morning explaining the history behind Remembrance Day. They spoke confidently and shared why we wear poppies. They shared the poppies they have made in school and I know they will all look beautiful on display in the school.
